Comparison
slowandreverb vs LuminaAudio slowed and reverb generator
Slowandreverb vs LuminaAudio compared on speed, reverb and timbre controls, presets, segment editing, export formats and batch processing.
LuminaAudio's slowed and reverb generator is a browser tool with a similar core to ours and a few features we do not have, most notably segment editing and video input. This page compares the two using what LuminaAudio's page states at the time of writing. Where its page leaves a number out, we say "not stated" rather than guessing.
The tool on our side is the slowed reverb online editor. If you are weighing several browser options at once, the best slowed reverb makers roundup covers them in one place, and the SonicLab comparison looks at a third in-browser generator.

What LuminaAudio does that we do not
Segments. You can split a track at any timestamp and give each segment its own speed, reverb and preset, then export one continuous file. That makes a chorus that drops to 0.80x while the verse stays at 0.90x, or a reverb swell on the bridge. We apply one set of settings to the whole track. If you want a different sound on each section, you would export twice and splice in an editor.
Video input. LuminaAudio accepts MP4, MOV, AVI and MKV and pulls the audio track out. We accept audio files only. If your source is a video, extract the audio first or use a tool that does it for you.
WAV and AAC output. LuminaAudio lists WAV, MP3 and AAC downloads. We export MP3 only, at 96 kbps and 32 kHz. That rate is tuned for fast encoding inside a browser tab and is fine for YouTube, TikTok and Shorts, which re-encode on upload. It is not a master format. If you need lossless, LuminaAudio's WAV, or a DAW, is the right choice.
Vibe presets. LuminaAudio describes "15+" one-tap aesthetics with names like Night Drive, Sad Edit, Dreamcore, Space Reverb and Phonk Drift, each also changing the waveform color. We ship four presets and let you save your own.
What we do that LuminaAudio does not list
Reverb decay as its own control. The Space slider runs from 1.2 to 6.0 seconds, separate from the wet mix. LuminaAudio's page describes a reverb percentage and a Timbre control but does not mention a decay time.
Tone on the whole mix. LuminaAudio's Timbre acts on the reverb tail. Our Tone control is a high shelf on the entire signal, from -10 to +10 dB, which is what you reach for when the slowed vocal is too dull or the cymbals too sharp. The two controls are related but not the same thing.
Stereo width. From mono at 0 to 1.5 for a wider-than-source image. LuminaAudio's page does not list a width control.
Batch processing. Add many tracks, Select All Tracks, set once, Download All for a ZIP. Select subsets for per-track settings. LuminaAudio's page does not mention processing multiple files. See the batch audio editor page for how channel operators use this.
Custom presets. Create preset stores your own settings in browser storage, on the device, no account.
No file size cap. LuminaAudio states a 500 MB maximum. We do not set one.
The reverb chain, compared
LuminaAudio's page says bass boost is applied after speed and before reverb, and that Timbre shapes the tail. That is a sensible order; it means the reverb picks up the bass lift and can be darkened independently.
Our chain is speed, then convolution reverb with its wet mix and Space decay, then Bass and Tone shelves, then Width. Bass and Tone act on the whole signal including the tail. In practice that means a Tone of -6 dB darkens both the dry vocal and the reverb at once, which is usually what a slowed edit wants. If you want a bright vocal over a dark tail, LuminaAudio's separate Timbre lets you do that and we do not.
Reproducing LuminaAudio's Slowed preset here
LuminaAudio publishes its Slowed preset as 0.85x with hall reverb and a gentle bass lift. Our nearest built-in is Haze Chamber, which is also 0.85x but much heavier: 54% reverb, 1.2 s Space, +12 dB bass, -10 dB tone, 1.5 width. For a gentler version closer to the description, try this.
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Speed | 0.85x |
| Reverb | 40% |
| Space | 3.2 s (a hall-like decay) |
| Bass | +3 dB |
| Tone | -2 dB |
| Width | 1.1 |
| Preserve pitch | Off |
For a Nightcore match, LuminaAudio uses 1.25x and dry. Our Lift preset is 1.30x and dry; set Speed to 1.25x if you want the same rate.
Privacy
Both tools say the same thing: processing happens in the browser, nothing is uploaded. LuminaAudio's page states "Your audio never leaves your device." Ours can be checked by loading the page, disconnecting, and continuing to work. We cannot inspect LuminaAudio's internals from the outside, so we report its statement as a statement.
Who should use which
Choose LuminaAudio when your edit needs different settings on different sections, when your source is a video file, or when you want WAV or AAC out of a browser tool. Choose this site when you have more than one song to process, want separate decay, tone and width controls, want to save your own presets, or have files over 500 MB. Neither needs an account, so there is no cost to trying both on the same song.
Open the free editor: upload MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG or FLAC, adjust speed, reverb, bass, tone, width and space, then export MP3 or a ZIP of many tracks. Everything runs in your browser.
Frequently asked questions
Does LuminaAudio export WAV?
Its page lists WAV, MP3 and AAC downloads. We export MP3 only at 96 kbps and 32 kHz, which is fine for social platforms and not a master format.
Can LuminaAudio process several songs at once?
LuminaAudio's page says nothing about processing several files together at the time of writing. In our editor you add a whole folder, select the tracks you want, set them once and download one ZIP.
What is LuminaAudio's Timbre control?
According to its page, Timbre darkens or brightens the reverb tail, with negative values darker. Our Tone control is a high shelf on the whole signal, so it affects the dry sound and the tail together.
Can I give different sections of a song different settings here?
Not within one export. Settings apply to the whole track. LuminaAudio lists segment splitting with per-segment settings, which is a real advantage for that use.
Can I upload a video to slowandreverb?
No, audio files only: MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG and FLAC. LuminaAudio accepts MP4, MOV, AVI and MKV and extracts the audio.
Which has the lower file size limit?
LuminaAudio states a 500 MB maximum. We do not set a limit; large files are bounded by your device's memory.
Do either of these tools upload my audio?
Both state that processing happens in the browser and nothing is uploaded. For ours you can confirm it by going offline after the page loads.
